PLAYDOUGH!!

The boys kept wanting to go buy some playdough today once they found their playdough toys. making it can be messy (my hands have stains from the color) and sometimes doesn't last too long or it can feel gritty. Well, I found a wicked recipe for some nice, smooth playdough that was super easy!

2 c flour
1 c salt
4 tbsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp oil
2 c water
food coloring
short, adorable helpers (optional)

Mix everything together in a pot until it is nice and smooth. You will most likely have a few lumps, but they should mix right in. You can add the food coloring at this point, but we wanted some different colors so we added it afterwards.

Cook over medium heat - and don't go anywhere! It won't take long.

Keep stirring the dough so it doesn't burn. When it turns into a ball you can take it off the heat.

Because we added the colors afterwards, it looks all marble-y and cool, but I'm sure it wont last.

This is by far the best homemade playdough recipe I have found. Happy mess making!
