Recycled Crayons

This was easy to do with the boys. They were allowed to destroy crayons and they definitely took advantage of that!

After you have peeled the papers off all of the crayons, break/cut the crayons into small pieces. Turn the oven on to 250 degrees.

Spray a muffin pan (you can use a mini muffin pan for more crayons) and put the pieces in. You don't have to do the colors like I did - obviously. Next time we'll do some crazy colors! The more crayons in one, the thicker it will be and the longer they will last. Place the pan on a centered rack in the oven and "bake" for 7-8 minutes. Keep an eye on them so they don't burn, but they should be just fine.

Let them cool completely before trying to take them out. You can push on the bottom of the pan and they will come loose. They don't color the best and they're not the easiest to use, but my boys love them!

***Upon further review of my cupcake pan...use some liners. HAHA Or an old pan. I'm working on how to get the remaining wax off of my pan. If you find a way - leave a comment so we can share!
