Oldies But Goodies

I love my husband dearly. He is a great man. However...he tends to buy things like soaps and shampoo by smell and price. The more expensive, the better it must be...right? When I buy for scent I usually get Herbal Essence because they just smell so darn good! When I buy shampoo because it gives my hair body, makes it nice and smooth and just smell nice and clean, I buy VO5. The last time I used it before buying it again last year was when I was probably 5 years old at my dad's house. Now I'm sure there are other shampoos that could be better but I'm also pretty sure they cost a lot more too. The highest I have ever paid for VO5 is $1.19 a bottle and I have to have the conditioner too. If you bought VO5 once a month you would spend (approx.) $28.56 per year. If you bought the Herbal Essences (at approx 3.25/bottle) you would spend about $78.00 per year. VO5 is my favorite shampoo and happens to be the best that I've used.

If you use moisturizer - which you should - I know it can get pricey because I used to buy the expensive ones because they looked cool or because they were, well - expensive. Then my mom got us all hooked on GNC's moisturizer. To be honest, I'm not even sure what its called, but it is made by GNC. I use the one with the purple label and I seriously love it. I recently bought 2 jars for $3.00. And thats the normal price! If you had to buy it once a month you would spend about $36.00 per year. If you bought some of the more expensive ones you could pay on average $6.00 a bottle/jar. That would be approx. $144.00 a year! I use this moisturizer everyday on my face, neck and hands and I love it!

Does anyone have any other inexpensive products they love?
